We are a private non-profit making non-governmental research and policy education institution founded in 1992. We work on development issues related to technology, enterprise and industries with the support of a wide range of foundations, governmental and inter-governmental institutions, private corporations and concerned individuals.

Our task is to find out how and assist humanity to take with responsibility the opportunities offered by science in the use of technology in development via enterprise and industries. Also, to augment strategy and policy recommendations with field services and technical support in resources management.

For this purpose, we:

  • Promote entrepreneurship and modern business practices;

  • Forge and increase links between the financial sector and other sectors of society;

  • Emphasize multi-disciplinary research and action oriented programmes that promote and increase the level of economic activity in society;

  • Seek to narrow gaps in strategy formulation, policy implementation and population needs in national and international development;

  • Develop and implement, at the forefront, physical and socio-economic processes that underlie development systems;

  • Provide new concepts of improved processes and approaches to measurement and control; and,

  • Respond to demand for professional expertise in local, national and international development.
