Text Box: Dirty water is estimated to account for as much as 80% of the common diseases that afflict people in much of Cameroon and sub-Saharan Africa. Often, household, industrial and other rubbish is dumped and abandoned on streets, in drains and living quarters, polluting the environment. Efforts to formulate and articulate clear and viable sanitation, employment and prosperity strategies and policies continue to face formidable challenges.
To help make our towns and villages cleaner and more hospitable for enterprise, industries, technology and development, we work on these issues:
Assembling information and developing databases on available technologies, legislation and regulations on water, waste and sanitation.
Identifying and explaining constraints and opportunities for meeting water supply needs and cleaning the environment in towns and villages.
Helping to galvanize people and authorities to seize the available opportunities and act on them.
